Sojourner Truth
Sojourner Truth is an African-American abolitionist, slave, author, and women's rights activist who is famous for her speeches especially "Ain't I a woman?" Truth affected the Antebellum era by speaking at the Ohio Women's Rights Convention in 1851 in Akron, Ohio. She also joined the Northhampton Association of Education and Industry in Northhampton, Massachusetts, Lastly, she helped recruit soldiers for the Union and was a very important Methodist-Christian for women's rights giving African-American women hope.
